Inaugural Post

Well, I finally got talked into entering the blogosphere so here we go. This may be my solution for keeping up with all of my friends and former students around the world. So rather than writing all those emails saying essentially the same thing over and over, I'll take some time to keep you all informed by posting here on a regular basis.
